If someone want to hear a taste of the new material there is a rm.
taste to achive at:http://www.metalblade.de/indexE.html
It seems they allways pick the most power-metallish song to advertise with.
It seems like speed is synonymous with quality to some.
Well well, hope you like it.
-
YEAH! :D
oh man...
i'm sitting here at work... BUT as soon as I'm at home I'm gonna check that out :)
-
Hm, delicious...
But I have a very strong deja vu. If I only could remember...
-
I just listened to it and it sounds really good. It is going to be hard to wait for one more month for me to hear the rest of the songs.
Great job Stefan.
-
Damn I am at work right now as well, where is that aarrrggggghhhhh smiley!!!!!!
-
It won't work for me. :(
-
I guess I don't have to say that the Realplayer (http://real.com ) is required?
-
Argh! I can't download it. I'm sitting on a fucki'n jävla sunk modem. (45,2 kbit/s) To slow to download.
-
HAHAHAHAA I am at home now, have downloaded it and SSSWWWWEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTT!!! 8)
-
I have real player. It still didn't work.
-
Well, "it didn't work" is hardly something to start with when trying to find a solution.
What exactly doesn't work? Is the player trying to establish a connection? Which version of the player is it? etc. pp.
-
cool... that's was the official... now where's the unofficial...? :)
-
Hehe, hey I had no problems getting into this song! :D
This tune is so fine, nice job Stefan!
Concerning DEJA VU:
I think some parts of the riff are a bit reminiscent of "For Life and Liberty". At least that's how I feel :)
GRIME vs. GRANDEUR's gonna rock :bluebanger:
No doubt about that!
*listens to "Purgatory Time" for the third time in sequence*

Hm. I wish it was that way, but as I got to know FALCONER when power metal wasn't my prefered genre anymore, I'm not that familiar with the older stuff, though I have the first two albums here.
To be honest, I thought more about BLIND GUARDIAN, probably one of the tracks from "Nightfall in Middle Earth".
-
Sounds great!
Love those high vocals in the pre-chorus. :D
Roll on May.
-
Congrats, Falconer!
This song is truly awesome and makes me yearn for the new album even more - if that is even possible. "Purgatory Time" really evokes the strong straight-forward riffs that made the first album the masterpiece it is. After number 2 which didnt really feel as a whole (and was great metal anyway) and number 3 which really kicked some ass again, it feels like Falconer have returned to the grandeur of their basic inspiration.
Im not reminded of Life and Liberty at all, I have to think of Lord of the Blacksmiths all the time! lol :P
Cheers,
Horus

......and here you have another song from a radiostation:
www.metalexpressradio.com/play2.asp?id=1499
We made this chorus just for you Germans, come on now and sing along :D
-
*sings*
Come take my hand, let us fly away
cross emotional skies.
*can't imitate that female voice*
Follow me up through the clouds of grey
and into another day.
:banger2:
Nice chorus!
But I wondered at first when I heard that female voice in between.
It fits well into that chorus, though.
This bears some resemblance to "Clarion Call". Especially the contrast of the double base beats and the guitar riffs remind me of that song.
Definitely a singalong song! :)
-
Yep, like I said before... ;)
-
Good! And by that I dont just mean good, I mean "oh my god this stuff is GOOD!!"
I want this album real bad by now. Seriously. I mean it. Give it to me! :x
Hey if you keep going this way, we will know most of the songs before the album is even released!!
Not that it bothers me at all... :banger2:
The refrain on this one is particularly catchy. Gets straight into your bloodstream.
More please!
Cheers,
The Dude with the Falcon Head (TM)
-
Sounds very promising, but the stream was a real pain in the ass...
Will there be more songs like that on the album?
-
Not THAT catchy, but the general direction yes, of course - as far as I can answer this question. ;)
-
I like the rather rough vocals on that track...
-
You'll get some growling rough vocals on the track THE RETURN ;)
-
On the whole the sound is rougher, heavier than the last two albums, I think. Just as Stefan has promised it! :)
-
That's just great !!!
This sounds a LOT better than the last record. Hopefully this record will be what Falconer once was, but hell ... iam buying the record just because of Emotional Skies  .
-
Is that the girl that did vocals on the last album?
Hmm, I'm not sure how I feel about this song...it...I'm not sure I'd recognise this as Falconer if I were to just hear it for the first time without knowing anything about it.
I just...wow, mixed emotions here. It's a good song, really, but it's not what...bah. Once I've heard the rest of the album and I'll be able to deliver a better assessment. I really like how the song ends.
-
The girl is the same who did some vocals for "Sceptre....", That album could have been better YES, but I think we made up for all the weak sides with this new album.
-
I thought she sounded familiar. :) I'm glad you had her back for this album, I like her singing.
-
Is she one of these two ladies? :)

-
The lady in red.
-
*thumbs up* :)
(Wasn't there a cheesy Chris de Burgh song called "lady in red"? :D )
