Like Odin said, it's a bit difficult given that most of them are good. I will have to go with The Sceptre of Deception one though; it works in a quite cohesive way with the album. Even though this can be said about most of the covers (except for the GvG one), this one stands out because of the conceptual connection.
Still, if we were talking about the whole "package", so far I'd be tempted to put Nortwhind as the forerunner.

I really like them all, but I think that Falconer and Northwind are at the top. However, I like the new Logo much better than the old one.

It was between the first two for me - I love the mono-colouring. I voted for "Falconer" just because it has a certain significance to me as being the first Falconer album that I owned.

G vs G is the one which looks the best I think, but it's hard to say.

Falconer, Northwind or Sceptre as they have the whole warrior thing going for them. Menorahs and children aren't exactly the most metal, so Chapters and GvG don't make the cut for me.
However, the 3 I listed are classics and kick ass for covers.

This is NOT a menorah... Menorahs have seven branches and are jewish. Falconer don't play Klezmer music... That's a different kind of folk... :)

Still I like the mood of the "Chapters..." cover even better than the rough/more aggressive debut cover. Although the warrior with the falcon of course just perfectly fits the band/album name. :)

I voted for Chapters, only because that was the fisrt cover I had seen. I have G vs. G as my avy and all kinds of crap... so really, its a tie between the two.
Personally, I find all of them pretty dang cool. 8)

Agreed, Jan Meninghaus is a terrific artist. The cover he did for Dream Evil's Evilized album is one of my favourites:

Well, it seems to be a child's sketch. I thought this time would be something more serious. But I like the mood 8)

That's exactly how I feel about it. It looks like a child sat down and said "okay here I'll put a house and there's the guy and there the helmet and sword, and there's a ship, now I'll cram the band logo, a falcon and the title in there so that there's no space left".
Sometimes less can be a lot more.

Hm, that topic would make a fine thread on it's own!
Wow the range of possibilities is so vast!
But most of all it depends on the topic, the title, the songtitles and the mood of the next album.
But I guess it's a bit too early to open a thread concerning this whole subject :D
What do you guys think?

I might go for Chapters.... It's got a wonderful cover....
However it's missing "action"... I mean, it's just a desk with candles and a book.
Falconer is just the best for me...The Falconer, the horse, the falcon...
It's all good on that cover.

i like the cober on falconer best! it's a great pice of art, and full of silent action, an so much mood an power! it's tru that a picture tells u more than 1000 words... in this case, even a million... everything about the cover is just so right!! also i like the old logo:P i think the new looks a bit 2 "digital" and tha halfcircle above and beneth the logo looks kinda lika a falcon beek... i like that touch...
i just love the details u have to look close 2 see... like the falconers camp in the back, and the rock formation and the hair and and and.... i just love it!!!

i think the Northwind's cover is the most beautiful one. Maybe i loved it most since it is "more" epic than others but the colors of chapters from a vale farlorn are great too (:
