Just got the flyer yesterday at the hammerfall gig, after the gig went straight home and bought the tickets.
http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/user/?region=gb_london&query=detail&event=312363
Get them now :D
-
Yay. Hey Stefan, are you going to play any gigs on the "mainland", maybe even in Germany this year? Otherwise... *mouse hovering over flight booking button* ...it might happen I come back to London after a couple of years finally. Worth a trip anyway, but with Falconer playing there I am seriously thinking about it now!
-
I for one can't wait :D
Gonna be so good, I am gonna wait outside a couple of hours before to make sure I get to the front. Right infront of Stefan, Mathias and the gang.
Will be a truley epic evening of everyone singing their hearts out to one of the best power metal bands ever.
I hope they play Royal Galley along with all the other favourites, I have always thought that was a killer track.
-
Someone had better get some video.
HAY STEFAN COME TO AMERICA... (mhm, that's happening.)
-
I've been trying to get them invited to ProgPower USA. Didn't happen this year, so I'm going to try again for 2010.
-
Start a petition; I'll sign it.
-
Me too.
-
Got my tickets through the post today ^_^
Can't wait. Wish it was july now :D
-
I'd be pretty darn appreciative of a few Ottawa, Ontario shows. Not enough metal bands play here in Canada. You europeans have it good for the metal scene :P
Anyone gonna be filming this? More live videos on Youtube are great.
-
I´m thinking of going over to England for this show. But I don't know yet if I have to go alone or if a friend of mine are gonna come too. I think it depends on if it's going to be the only show in Europe or not, but I know I have to see them at least one time this summer.
-
Last train home is 22.45... mmm risky, could be possible I suppose. ???
-
I feel the same as Odin. It sounds really tempting to go over to London for the concert and a nice weekend. Just checking what my budget will say.
-
Hey, flying from your hometown would probably be the way to go anyway, Avricha! Mail me, will you?
-
Does someone know if the train from Belgium (Eurostar) arrive far from the venue ?
I think it's St pancras International !
-
Hey, anwynn.
from St Pancras station go to Kings Cross station (its just next to it). Take underground on the northern line (northbound) and it will be a couple of stops till Camden Town, once you get out of the station just go across the road to the venue. If needs be I can meet you to make sure you get there but I am going early (getting there for about 5). I will be the tall guy with the glowing red hair :D
-
thx a lot for details :)
I'm not sure to come for the moment, but if I come I'll tell it ! I'd like so much !!!
-
Order of tickets has been confirmed. I'm coming! :)
-
This venue is big or not ? can contains how many people ?
To come by train etc. seems to be ok, but is there hotels near the venue ? do yu have good plans, I really think to come to this concert, because I wanted Falconer in Belgium, but won't be possible I think... hard to organised :(
-
All I can say is me and my girlfriend will be there no matter what from yorkshire. Just have to figure out a baby sitter for the night and thats it. Oh and the cash but it will be worth it. I will need wear my Facloncer T shirt for this one. Pity its not in sheffield but hay.
-
Seems like there will be some real Falconer fans in that London club.
Looking forward to it.
-
Here's how to tell how many--have Mattias turn the mic on the crowd during Clarion Call and Mindtraveller!
When he did at Wacken, you could tell just how many Falconerites there really were out there!
-
by the way: I'll be staying at Camden Lock Hotel - said to be okay value for little money - from Friday until Sunday. If I come to London, I just have to spend time around the city as well, of course. ;)
-
Odin, be sure you get some bangers and mash, and some fish and chips (with a Guinness!) at a pub when you're there! I think I died and went to heaven when I had the bangers and mash at a pub not to far from my hotel in 2004. And the fish and chips was suprisingly awesome, as well! The Brits have learned a lot about cooking in the past few decades. :)
-
Thanks for the hints - although I've been to London twice before (for three days and a week, I think), I did not have bangers and mash, I think. But it doesn't sound too inviting either, haha.

sniff it seems there is no place anymore in this hotel :(

Bangers and mash = sausages and mashed potatoes. With gravy. It's AMAZING. Comfort food at its finest.
I had them here in the US after that. They suck here. :(
-
Ugh, English breakfast (sausages)! ;) Well, we will see, whether I will check it out. I shall look for the place I fetched fish'n'chips last time (pretty exactly 10 years ago, I think), because that was great, too.
@anwynn: It was pretty packed already, when I booked my room - seems a lot of Falconites are coming. ;)
-
WOW, Dragonland will also be there and play at same night. :bangersmiley: And i can´t be there. :icon_sad:
-
Unfortunately, I can't come. It simply doesn't work out time-wise. I'm really sad, but I can't change anything about it :icon_cry:
Hopefully, it will work out next time and I wish everyone else a lot of fun.

No! Black is boring. This is supposed to be an eye-catcher. :)
-
Pictures, people. Lots, and lots of pictures!
Throw a bone to those of us who can't afford the trip overseas. ;)

I second that. And maybe some video too, if possible.

I asked Lissa Brayley at camden underworld if there will be any recordings!
She Wrote back:
Hi,
There won't be any recordings that I am aware of but you can film on your phone if you have the facility?

i.e. everyone bring phones and film it!

Yeah, record as hell, Haha! :bangersmiley:

I've said it a thousand times, but Falconer really need to record a live DVD and possibly publish it together with the next album, like Alestorm and Powerwolf did recently with their respective Wacken 08 gigs.

-
Hey,
I can't believe I should be the first to tell you, although I stayed in London until monday night... :)
Well, it was definitely a great night. The crowd went crazy for Falconer - some had additional alcohol problems, so it took me some time to be able to enjoy the show. That drunken idiot not hearing the music anymore, but jumping and waving around, pushing and fighting everybody was really a downer. It was not until I told the security to have him removed (what was more than necessary at that point, because serious fighting was about to start) that I could concentrate on the stage. :icon_evil:
Mathias seemed a bit troubled by the ongoings in the crowd as well, but as professional as he is, his vocals were great nevertheless, of course. :)
I think the band also enjoyed the evening and I would have loved to hook up afterwards for a drink or two, but we were so dead tired after getting up at 3:45 (what was 2:45 in London time...) in the morning and travelling that we left right after they had left the stage.
Finally, after an unprepared (!) encore! C'mon guys, you can't come to play a headliner spot for a crazy crowd and don't prepare an encore!! :pillepalle: :icon_mrgreen: But I did not mind hearing 'Upon the Grave of Guilt' a second time either, hehe.
The peaks were as usual 'Mindtraveller' and 'The Clarion Call' with the crowd singing out loud like there was no tomorrow - goose bumps guaranteed (thinking of the Wacken gig and roughly ten thousand or more singing).
I don't know whether Karsten recognized me, when he went out to see the last minutes of Dragonland. We met before, but he might also have greeted me just to be friendly anyway, haha. ;)
Must see Falconer more often.
A guy standing next to me sent a note with his mobile to his twitter reading "Falconer are as awesome live as they are on there albums!". 'nough said.
