Why wait for 4 moths when a single butterfly might be better...

Okay, those two pics make me even more curious! Looks awesome! I need to see that video! :)
13 tracks and 2 bonus tracks. 15 tracks of pure Falconer power, can't wait for it :D
Damn, although work is really pissing me off right now, THIS news made my day ;)
-
I was actually in the video! ;D Donīt know how much it will show in the final cut though. Iīm part of the audience/mob you see in the first picture. Think Iīm a bit further to the right from where that one is taken. :D It was really fun to be in on a thing like that!
-
Ah, ok! Is that you next to the bearded gentleman in the upper right corner?
You guys (the cast) really did a great job that day!

(Quite blurry post production render)
-
Yeah! Thatīs me! :D And "the bearded gentleman" is my boyfriend. We donīt look that very happy or anything on that picture though. To bad.
Well thank you! We did what we could! Itīs just awesome that we could participate! ;D
-
Wow! Very awesome for you!
I really can't wait, now!
Edited the Falconer blog on Myspace, also gave a shoutout to our own tirlith. :) http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog&pop=1&indicate=1

Ok! Yes, I kind of figured you two are together!
Well, if you don't look very happy on this frame, you should see the other clips... ;)
-
Wow, Tirlith YOU MADE IT ONTO A FALCONER VIDEO :D I mean that's awesome! Congrats!
This is amazing!
Erm.. I need to see that video NOW! :D
Damn, anticipation is really pumping me up :D
I'll try to take all this positive energy and channel it into my performance in the coming weeks. And as always I'll wear a Falconer shirts on stage :bluebanger: :bluebanger: :bluebanger:
Oh and btw, those new picture gallery is cool too. It takes a while to load though. But there are lots of pictures I can't remember I've ever seen! And even some pics from the current studio days :D Really interesting to see!
Can't wait to hear what the guys recorded this time!

Right now I'm working on the picture gallery functionality. I haven't been able to find out why it's loading slowly on some computers. The pictures are quite compressed (small), so that should not be a problem. I'll get back in this matter!
-
Woot! Falconer way to go with having a video. I just can't wait to see it.
-
Well I'll probablly have to wait now. Man I wish I didn't live in Colombia, Falconer will never come to this country. you people are lucky you can go to their concerts. :icon_cry:
-

Sorry for spoiling the fun, but it reads "13 songs, including 2 bonus tracks", I'm afraid. So there will probably be 11 tracks plus 1 or 2 bonus tracks for the first limited edition (maybe the 2nd one is for Japan edition only?). But still - it will kick ass, for sure. :)
-
oh, you're right, hm. well, 13 brand new falconer songs are still something to anticipate highly :)
-
The title sounds great and those pics from the video look great too, Carnival of Disgust, how dramatic... ;)
-
Ooh, you think this is drama? Just wait! :)
-

Aaaah, I can't wait!

Ooh, you think this is drama? Just wait! :)
Hey man, stop teasing us, that's unfair, we're already slowly turning mad because of the incredibly high anticipation :D :tocktock: :pillepalle: :icon_mrgreen: :lachen:
But YOU, YOUUU ALREADY HEARD "ABAT" (hm, the abreviation of the new album sounds like the singer of Immortal )!
In case anbody has missed it: I WANT THAT ALBUM NOW!
Thanks for the attention!
Prab out :D :56:

Well, parts of it. They won't let me hear all of it because I might get a constant 180 bpm heart rythm, pass out and end up with insomnia.
And they're also afraid that I'll tell the world how ridiculously awesome it is. Which I wouldn't tell anyone over my dead body, of course! :icon_wink:
-
Besides the new songs, I can't wait to find out what bonus video stuff will be on the digipack version. I'll surely get that one ;)
HOPEFULLY METALBLADE WILL RELEASE NEW SHIRTS TOO!
Maybe we should all send emails to metalblade, demanding new Falconer shirts!
-
That's true, we definitely need new Falconer shirts.
-
I demand as well!!
-
HOPEFULLY METALBLADE WILL RELEASE NEW SHIRTS TOO!
+1
Heck, I don't even have any of the OLD shirts. :(
-
Another here who would love a falconer t-shirt or two!
-
I'd suggest the following.
Why don't we all send an email to info@metalblade.de, saying that we'd like to have another edition of Falconer shirts?!
I mean, that'd show them that there's definitely heavy demand for them!!! (as if they didn't already know...)
Actually there is a contact/email form HERE (http://shop.metalblade.de/catalog/shop_content.php?coID=7).
I'll send this mail to them:
"Hi there folks!
I just wanted to drop you a line to ask you for another edition of Falconer shirts.
They're putting out a brandnew album in August, so hopefully there'll be new merchandise too.
We, the Falconer fans, are counting on you!
Greetz"
Or something along those lines in german as well.
The more people write and ask for it, the more they'll consider it!
Let's see what comes out of it :)
-
Awesome idea, Prab, I just dropped them a mail of my own. Keep 'em coming guys! :coolgr:
-
Some guy named "Michael" wrote back from Metalblade.
He just responded, saying:
"Hello
Just check out our shop from time to time
greetz
Michael"
??? ??? ???
Whatever that means...
I guess they're already planing to release another merchandise edition. At least I hope so.
I hope those lines were not another way of saying "we don't care".
Whatever, folks, just keep sending those emails to Metalblade! They need to see that there's a demand for Falconer stuff!
Let them hear our voice! :)
-
LOL
That's a rather unprecise answer from Michael...
-

I've also heard i little something ;D before the mix though.
-
The official site has a news update! :pleased:
-
That's soooo fucking cool! :o They said that the cover was going to be a bit diffrent from the other ones. It is diffrent, but just for the good!
-
Looks like there are a few Swedish tunes on there, too. YAY! :)
Soooo...is the album available for pre-order?
-
(http://www.falconermusic.com/_newspics/front_big.jpg)
Sweet or what?
I've seen a few sites that you can pre-order it from.
-
Hm, this kind of reminds me of the GvG cover... it looks good (better than the aforementioned), but frankly I would like to see something along the lines of the first two covers again... I know, I'm the pesky traditionalist kind of Falconite, I can't help it. Musically, I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be their best album yet... boy am I excited! :coolgr:
-
WOOOOWWW!!!
Can't wait for that!!! 8)
-
I am one extremely excited Canadian. I can not wait for this album. Hopefully that will be my birthday present.
-
Wow, what a cover art!
I agree with Birdie, that it's look feels a bit like the GvG cover. But I like this one more than the GvG art!
That Meininghaus guy is a genius!
Concerning the cover art of the first two albums:
I love the S/T cover. The "Northwind" cover had the return of that "character", still it was the weakest of all the Falconer covers, I feel.
The strongest Falconer covers have been those, with interesting looking individuals/characters on it, like on the s/t album and Sceptre.
I count the ABAT cover among them :)
-
Weakest? Far from it I say! One of my faves!
-
Weakest? Far from it I say! One of my faves!
It's definitely not a bad album cover, no.
But compared to the other three, or now four, covers it's not that good, I feel.
The strongest is the S/T one, then comes Sceptre. Then I'd place ABAT on 3rd place, then Chapters, then GvG and finally Northwind.
That's my personal ranking concerning Falconer album covers.
I hope Metal Blade will come up with some cool new merchandise and shirt designs for ABAT :D
-
I feel pretty much the same way, except that I might place Chapters before ABAT.
-
Yeah, S/T cover comes first. I think most Falconerfans would agree on that, then itīs kind of hard. I really like the Northwind cover but it dose'nt feel like the typical falconercover. But itīs still not that of as the Rock n' Roll Devil cover. Hehe...
-
The S/T cover is my default Livejournal icon. Unfortunately, I can't call it my favorite, simply because the proportions on the horse (what little of it you see) are off. I know, I know, such a minor thing to most people, but I just can't get past that. I've been around horses since I was 7, so it's kind of hard to turn off the "That horse doesn't look at all right" sensors.
I think my favorite cover is honestly the new one. It's very well executed, IMO.

One of a couple of new photos from the myspace page.
-
I used the ones found on Metal Blade's website. :)
-
I really like the new promo pictures!
I think it's especially cool to see Mathia were an all black in black outfit. That somehow tells me that he's kind of embraced that "Okay, I'm a metalsinger" attitude :) Of course in a very positive way. Yeah, outfit is also a - although very very small and not that important - part of it.
I've not seen Falconer live yet (but I'm trying hard as ever!) but I've kind of studied the videos on the internet from Wacken 07 and I have to say, although the voicework of Mathias is simply awesome (he had a cold, right?), he has still to improve a bit on the "stage acting" part. Okay, I must admit, I'd find it very strange if he'd be running around and banging his head off. No, I'd suggest some more gestures with arms and just walking around on the stage, not just keep standing in the middle. And most important of all - just exchange some words with the audience. Just a "The next song is going to be "Lord of the Blacksmiths" and we just love the lyrics to that song!" or something like that :D
Anyways, who am I to suggest anything, I'll forever be a devoted fan (possibly the biggest in Austria :P ) and so hope they're gonna play Wacken 09!
-
I agree, Prab. Matti looks a bit stiff. Mathias, do you feel a bit lost without any blocking? ;) Matti DOES have stage presence - for as long as he's been doing musical theater, I would hope so! But it's not the stage presence of a metal singer. And you don't have to head bang and jump around to have a metal stage presence! Just look at Roy Khan from Kamelot. He doesn't headbang at all, but he does know how to work the crowd. Anette Olzon of Nightwish is also very good at getting a crowd worked up, and does not headbang. Tarja was the same way, though she did headbang from time to time. So lots of metal singers do not jump around and headbang. :)
I loveloveLOVE Mathias' vocals, so I'm hoping that with time we'll at least see him lead the crowd in some fist-pumping action. Falconer has plenty of parts in their songs for a round of fist-pumping, "hey! hey! hey!" and other such activities that metalheads find incredibly entertaining to take part in. :)
-
Oh of course Matthias has a great stage presence! I mean, I've not seen any play with him, but still I totally believe it! He is an interesting appearance all together. Absolutely not the typical metal singer and with such a unique voice - you definitely can't mistake him for somebody else!
I'd really love to see the whole Wacken 07 gig recording in high quality, but unfortunately the Wacken team makes those recordings only available to each band and they're not allowed to release that publicly.
Why don't we - the Falconites here in the forum - take a trip to the release party of ABAT in Sweden? :D
Well, although expensive as heck it'd be quite worth a thought, hehe.
-
Sure Prab, I'd do that. As long as someone pays my way and gives me a place to crash. All I've got in my pockets is lint. ProgPower this September is an expensive trip, and all my money is going towards that. ;)
-
Yeah, I understand, see I was just ranting and ramling about something I really would wish to do :)
Although I live on the same continent as our beloved band, the trip to Sweden and the stay would also be quite expensive for me.
Sill, I've been giving it some intensive thought, for quite some long time now. I mean, how great would that be? To be there, at a
release party of a Falconer album in Sweden, with the band playing live :)
Or maybe the guys will one day perform ALL of their albums in the course of festival split up on three or five days :D
Well, if Falconer will play Wacken 09, then I'm so trying to be there! Maybe that'd be worth a trip to Europe for you too, Angel?
-
I REALLY can't afford to go to Europe any time soon. Even for Wacken. I'm finishing up school, and once I'm done there, I'll be living with my boyfriend in the Chicago area. Chicago is stupidly expensive to live in or near, and counselors make crap for pay. Al doesn't make very good money either. So any trips to Europe are unlikely to happen unless someone pays our way, or we win a trip. So even Wacken (my dream) is out of the question.
We're lucky we can go to ProgPower this year. My only hope of seeing Falconer live (aside from winning the lottery) is that they play ProgPower X. So here's hoping Glenn offers them a gig next year, and here's hoping they say yes!
