Autobahn- would love to try that out!!!!! With.....
Fine German automobiles, (BMW/MERCEDES BENZ/AUDI/PORSCHE/Volkswagon, we own a Passat) built by..........
Actually, I almost prefer the Japanese cars. German manufacturers seem to have developed a quality problem. (Ok. Porsche doesn't.
Accept, At Vance, Atrocity, Avantasia, Blind Gaurdian, Destruction, Edguy, Freedom Call (sorry Tex  )
No problem.
:)

Wish I'd known that BEFORE I bought my VW. Nothing but problems, problems, problems. Although, in my case anyway, they have always accepted the blame and done all reapirs at no cost to me but I'm out of warranty now so I'm kinda scared.

This sounds so familiar Metal Maiden !
I had a VW Sharan a few years ago... This car has cost me a fortune !
Drive a Ford Focus now ! Not one single problem so far !!
:D
-
We drive our third Ford Fiesta.
:)
Greetz,
Tex
-
 FORD! (found on road dead) (fix or repair daily)
Don't let The Metal RN hear you say that! He's a Chevy man.
Actually that Focus seems to be a great little, and inexpensive, car. A few of my friends have them and are very happy with them. And there was a Fiesta in the family that went on forever and ever, wouldn't die no matter what you did to it. (Although most people seem to go Japanese around here for reliability.)
-
Hey now, I like my Ford. I have a Lincoln Continental, and it's pretty good! I've had a couple problems with it, but nothing major. However, my car isn't nearly as good as my parent's cars are. They both drive Town Cars. In fact, after my Turdmobile got totaled, I had the old '90 Town Car to drive, and I LOVED it. The only problem with it is it didn't get as good milage as it used to, one of the windows would get stuck if rolled down more than half way, and the upholstry was coming apart. Other than that, I had no problems with it, despite the fact that it was an older car! If I can afford it, I'll be sticking with Lincolns.
-
Should I or should I not... mh, well, anyway: No problems, just fun and joy riding so far with my BMW.

And the Passat you had before was a menace, wasn't it? ;)
-
Oh, don't remind me of that one! It came to my mind already, but I did not want to relive all that once more... :x
-
Splitting once more...
Perhaps that's the reason why head feels like it has been splitted?
-
What or who split your head? Get that axe out there... ;)
Show me your car? Mhhh, I had some pics somewhere... but they are with the old summer rims - the ones with the winter tyres on now are much better (and summer will hopefully see a full set of new 18" / 235 ones, hehe). ;)
-
i only drive my black renault clio 16v!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

A bread, a topic, a discofreak, you name it, the Ambassador splits it...

*jealous*
Metal RN like the US muscle cars but I hid in the closet to read copies of German Performance Car magazines and lust after BMWs
(where's the "drooling smiley"?)
-
Hehe, sorry Christopher for possibly abducting your wife
Ah, there they are. As I said before, those were the lumpy 15" rims with 225 summer tyres. Won't get those balloons on there again, next tyres will be Dunlop Sport Maxx 3.
edit: *sigh* forgot the link, of course. http://www.bleeding.de/flea/emil/

We just bought a VW Polo last week :-/
We nearly bought a Fiesta, but thought the Polo was a better car.
I still miss my BMW that I had in the States :cry2:

Never mind 8) while I do like the muscle cars, as I know how to work on them, my alltime favorite sports car would be a Lotus Espirit, now if I could only fit in it!!!!!
And a BMW grocery getter............
-
I have got an old Fiat Panda 1000 with very bad acceleration. It's my first car and better a car than none so I think
-
Good point there Avricha !
I 've had a few cars by now. Now let me think...
When I was 18 I learned to drive in Citroen Visa.
Then my father bought me a Peugeot 205, followed a few years later by a Honda civic.
Then I got married.. (ok evil brains, before anyone says it, gonna say it myself : I know this is NOT a car ! 8) )
First car we bought was a Nissan Sunny. After a few years we bought a Toyota Corolla : Worst car EVER !! Had to sell it again for scratch after only one year !!
Then we bought a Nissan Primera ! That was a damn fine car !
Then we bought a Volkswagen Sharan. Drove that for two years as well..
Then we bought a Chrysler Voyager, fine car as well but we had really bad luck with it !
In one year we had two broken euh... can' t find the excact English word for it... in Dutch we say : Join de culas ! (nothing to do with ass whatsoever...)
After that one we bought the car we still drive today : A Ford Focus !
If you ask me, the best car of the whole bunch...
Now before you ask me if I am the son of a billionaire : all cars were second hands !
I'd like to change now and then as you can see...
-
After a few years we bought a Toyota Corolla : Worst car EVER !! Had to sell it again for scratch after only one year !!
Amazing. We're having our second Corolla. The first one was second hand also, bought when it was 4 years or so and we hat it for 10 (!) years - no technical difficulties. And the "new" one was bought when it was 2 years old and we have it for 6 years now - no problems either.
If Toyota hadn't become so expensive, I'd definitely have one of my own.

About cars I have the following personal message for the beloved and ravishing Virvatuli :
"Hyviä uutisia nopeille vastaajille !
Nopea vastaus 7 päivän kuluessa varmistaa voittomahdollisuutenne !
Ajatelkaapa, joko 35 000,00 euroa tai upea BMW 120i -henkilöauto voi jo olla Teidân...
Kertokaa meille nyt, kummanko näistä Supervoitoista haluatte, jos voittonumero vastaa arpanumeroanne.
Toimikaa jo tänään !"
Ok not that this is any of your business but this is a romantic poem I wrote just this afternoon. But please Virvatuli, excuse me for any possible mistakes, my finnish is not yet all that good !

Indeed Karl ! Wonderful how your car has turned out. If I remember well the previous pics you posted showed a half finished car right ?
In any case : job well done ! Now only pray for a good Swedish summer in 2005 so you can show off at the sandy (?) beaches with Infernal Vengeance music at volume 9...

Didn't you ever learn in religious classes that you're not supposed to ask god to help you with things like these?
'sides I think cupid's arrow hit me a little late
-
no. in sunday school I learned that it is not exceptable for one to ask God for sexual related favors and such.. not for the woman of your dreams.. and well you have been there for a long time now...
and about cupid and his arrow hitting late.. its better late then never, but I think it was just waiting for the moment your eyes were truly open...huggles

Updated to car 2.0 finally! :P ;)
I was longing for some nice new wheels for a while already, now it was affordable and it just looks grrrrrreat! 18" and extra steel valves \../ And the new sport tyres' grip is a burner as well, hehe. Not really visible on these pics is the facelift which already took place one year ago after a little front crash (lots of fresh snow, playful Odin in the middle of the night and a stupid parking car in my way ;) ) - had the angel eyes inserted instead of the boring old lights.

-
You got a station wagon?
Well, you can call it the "Shaggin' Wagon" now. ;)
-
Haha, yeah, I have the Touring for over two years now. :)
...and looking back into this thread I found out that I had promised to get new rims and tyres of exactly the same dimensions that I have now in early 2005. <g>
-
now those are sharp wheels and tires.. and I like the car as well, even if it is a station wagon. thats what I call a grocery getter with "style" :bluebanger:
now I dont think I posted these pics here so I will post them now.l still dont know how you get em to post here on the boards.. so heres the links.. now fancy like the wagon,,,, but is very fast, does corner better then most cars because of the stiff ride and radial tires, and will crawl over about any obsitcale that will get into my way (you know like small little sporty station wagons ROFL).

After some CPR via the search function this topic comes back to life. ;)
It's more than 2 years since the last post - and Metal RN's pics cannot be found anymore, but I've got news about cars and remembered the topic. So here we go. :D
At first - there will be a new BMW 7 model this fall. Wow, check it out. ;)
And then there is this one:
He is not real, yet, but will be at the beginning of September (at the latest). And it's not exactly what I wanted, but as I am not buying it myself, but my boss does, I could not get all my wishes fullfilled. Actually only a few this time - but at least I did not give in regarding the sound system and it will have the Pro LOGIC7 system with 11 speakers and the power to roar 110db of sound pressure without any disturbance. :icon_twisted:
-
A car has to be inexpensive, reliable, and good in daily affords.
Boring Toyota Corolla for 20 years now (3 models). Enough space for two persons and transports, low gas consumption, only 2 repairings until today (except for wasting parts).
A car never was a hobby or passion for me. It has to work.
Opa
-
I have slightly higher standards for any cars I'm going to be stuck with long-term. It has to work...WELL. It's not enough for me that the car runs. It has to run without constant maintenence beyond the usual oil change, tune-up, and tire rotation. Oh, and it has to have a CD player. I'm on the road ALOT, so a CD player, and a stable car are what I value the most.
My '98 Continental did that (we installed the CD player), but it was nearing 100k miles (97k and some change, to be more exact) and...well...It still has life in it, but for some reason my father thought I should get a new car. So I traded in my spotless '98 Continental for a REALLY FUCKING SWEET 2008 MERCURY SABLE.
It looks kind of grey here, but it's more of a tan color. Though the dealership claimed it was "gold." It has a 6 CD changer in the dashboard, and so far it runs marvelously. It got me the three hours between my parents' house and my grad school with no trouble. Mercuries have a reputation as good cars, too, so I'm hopint it will last as long, and serve me as well as my '98 Continental did.
The dealership was impressed with the condition of the '98, so they're planning on re-selling it. I hope the next person to buy it is as happy with it as I was.
I'm all sentimental about my old car. :(
Also, I need help naming the new one. An appropriately metal name will do. :)
-
That´s a beautiful car, Angel! About a name for the car....you seem to like Helloween, just don´t name it "Heavy Metal Hamster" :D
I don´t own a car. In fact, I just got my drivers licence 3 weeks ago.....at age 35....not very metal, I know :icon_redface:
I will probably not afford buying a car anytime soon, since I plan to study for the next 3-4 years.
