Beitrag von: shadowman am Dezember 19, 2004, 06:16:37 Nachmittag
My father in law has bought a digital cam finepix fuji f601...
Unfortunately he has bought this cam in France and he doens't have the Dutch manual !
Now I have been searching the web like a fool (a natural thing yeah yeah...)
but no luck !
Ok since there are some really A class one computer and web specialists among you guys...
C'mon don't be shy...
Who could help me out on this one and give me the right link...
If I could help him get this manual I can marry his daughter he said !!

ANYONE ??

I will throw in a free package of world famous Belgian chocalates for the guy (girl) providing me the right link !
And yes : that is a promise !!

Thanx for the quick reaction Joachim but no luck so far...

In order to get the Dutch manual for free the Fuji guys need a copy of the Dutch (!) guarantee. Since my father in law bought this cam abroad he does not have this...
So, they need a whopping 35 euro's to send it !!...

And I managed to obtain the English manual already but the poor man only knows the words yes and no and shit...

So, no wedding invitation yet...

Now, why did he buy the camera in France?
Most likely because it was cheaper there, right?
Believe it or not, but translators are very expensive, so I think it is only natural that Fuji asks for money from people who bought their cameras in a different country.

But you know English. Help him and show him how to use the camera.

Did you try sending an email to contact@fujifilm.be ?
Though I'm afraid there are no further manuals available online, as the english one is for download on every other site I visited for testing purposes (german, austrian, netherlands...)
Bad customer service, if you ask me.

Well Joachim he figured it out pretty much himself but it is always nice to have a manual by hand in one's own language right ?
And yes, the cam was remarkably cheaper in France, you are right about that !

Nevertheless, thanx for the effort and your time !

@Aop : yes I think the customer service isn't all that great !
Just recently I bought a Siemens  cellphone for my daughter on ebay and had absolutely no problem finding the Dutch manual... Same goes for Ericcson...
