Cheers, folks!
I guess itīs time for my monthly - or shall I say annual post.
Itīs just that I am exceedingly thrilled about the fact that I will actually see the mighty Falconers l i v e next week at the NOP festival in Giebelstadt.
Itīs their only friggin gig in Germany this year, but nobody here seems to have noticed this thusfar - so I was just wondering:
Isnīt there anyone on the official! Falconer board who is as psyched about the gig as I am?
Iīm sure some of you die-hard fans will be there?
Come on, let me see a show of hands!
Yours seriously,
The Dude with the Bird Head
-
lucky b... boy :D
i still hope that there'll be a tour someday, when their road leads them to vienna!
-
So sorry dude!
Well, your way to the gig would probably be a shorter one than mine. I have to go all the way from Northern Germany - 6 hours on the train at least - whereas Austria is rather close to Bavaria where the festival takes place. Maybe there are still some tickets for sale - why donīt you check it out?
with Egyptian regards,
Hor-Nick
-
Hey, Stefan rumored about a possible appearance in Germany in October a while ago, but I never heard or read an official confirmation or any details thus far... okay, I don't check the website regularly and it's too far away for me... :(
-
What do you mean by too far away?
Your American festival going friend,
The Traveling RN
-
You guys are so right actually... I mean a lot of festivals aren't actually THAT far away from me.
I mean, the Falconer gig in Graz was like 2 hours away from me. NO distance at all for a real fan, right? Well I didn't have the means to travel there, that was the problem. Plus I couldn't find anyone to join me and I hate going to concerts alone. Stupid issues, I know, but I working on getting this whole situation better.
I have the driving licence but I hardly ever used the car. Now I'm changing that so that I can drive to concerts outside of Vienna. :)
-
I live only 4o kilometers away from the venue!
I am so glad that the Falcon will fly again over Germany
Hail!
-
will you play many old songs or rather promote your new album @ the nop
please many songs from the first 2 records....
\m/
-
what in the blue hell happend to kristoffer...
but \m/ and a 1000 hails for the rest of the band
-

tell us more!
how was that gig? :)
did the guys blow the roof off? *g*
-
I liked it altough they didnīt play mindtraveller
the guitars and the drums sounded very good..
but kristoffer looks like some nu metal whatever... unfortunately
just freaky how he changed since the sceptre tour....
no long hairs any more he looked like a whimp....
hail falconer!

Ha ha ha!
Tyr, you cant love them all!
And we sertainly dont seem to like eachother.
Enough said about that!
To all the rest of you guys I just want to say Thank You!
We had a really great time and loved doing the show for you.
WE HAD A BALL!
Thanks to all of you!
/ Kriss
-
Kristoffer, you cut your hair?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! *collapse*
Well, the fans still love you anyway. You can still sing without your hair! :)
-
Oh, phooey, if only I had been able to go. *laugh* I'm all over it as soon as you guys come to the States.
-
its not about not liking you ...
but many other falconer fans seem to wonder now what happend to you as well....
-
So what's different about Kriss apart from his hair? Enlighten me.
-
short hair, interesting!
why not?
phil anselmo, björn "speed" strid, James Hetfield, howard jones anyone?
any pictures of kriss new hair do?! :D
-
So what's different about Kriss apart from his hair? Enlighten me.
Nothing my, friend!
I had the same clothes as I had during the SoD-tour. I had my glasses on instead of contacts.
The same once I have in the G.vs G. booklet.
Please take care.
And remebre: METAL LIVES FOREVER!
/ Kriss
-
I had my glasses on instead of contacts.
Hey Kriss, I wear glasses too, but prefer the contact lenses. Why? Because glasses are a hindrance while head banging. Or how do you handle that?
-
I wear realy expensive glasses..
Metal-Made!
Ha ha ha
/ Kriss
-
:P :P :P
Yeah right!
Mega glasses forged in the ancient fiery pits by the lord of the blacksmiths, right? Haha!
I mean, when you wear glasses and bang your head, the glasses usually leave your face and fly around, don't they?! :P
-
No they are still here . And I bang alot!
Ha ha..
They are actually special made for my face. I guess thats why.
/ Kriss
-
I īll post one when they are online...
-
its me tyr.. I ve just registered myself...
that what also was not so funny in my opinion was that you have played: mein hut der hat 3 ecken !!! instead of mindtraveller (this one is a must play)

This is my point, some people get so hung up about the tiniest things. Like: "Metal isn't about image, so I'm so pissed off that you don't look the way you used to." Sad, really.
But, Kriss, short hair?
-
Haha!
Radagast, you'll see..
Probably not they way you think. You must still remebre. I'm a Rockstar!
Everything comes to he who waits.

Jesus Tapdancing Christ!
What a blast we had that Saturday night!!! Freakin unbelievable!
The most fun I ever had. Wham. And it really made the arduous journey worth the effort:
A little summary:
Hadn't had a good night's sleep in like 3 days.
Getting wasted Friday night.
Sleeping for three hours. My buddy was, I was wide awake.
6 hours on the train to Würzburg.
Finding the "right" bus to Giebelstadt was a miracle. The information was hidden very well.
Arriving in Giebelstadt, the alleged location of the festival, we learned that this was not the case - we started on a funny 5 kilomiters walk to the bloddy i-park hall...
boy were we pissed...
But we met some cool people - no surprise, since metalheads are the nicest people on the planet. Im very happy that new aquaintance David (hail!) recommended Random Eyes to us - great performance and a very amusing chat outside after the show.
Majesty were kick-ass as well - with more and more beer we banged our heads to the German Manowar :D
Needless to say that Falconer blew us away. "Mein Hut der hat drei Ecken" - Who ever came up with that idea? Hilarious.
It's a pity though that you didn't play "Sceptre..." - that song should be in every live performance!
Now I have to brag a little: I got Jimmy's pick, the self-printed "Spelordning i Tyskland 2005" with Kriss' footprint on it (for 500 bucks is yours, fellas!)
and not to forget Kriss' very own Falconer shirt! Yeah baby! (sorry again, dude who drove us to the railway station! )
But hey Kriss, there's a funny little stain on the right sleeve - what were you doing with that before the show?
Was awesome talking to you guys, and of course getting my booklets signed.
To sum it all up: It was RAD!
Well gotta go, hopefully we'll meet again as soon as possible! Germany needs you!
with Egyptian regards,
Freddy Krueger AKA The Dude with the Bird Head ^ ^
ps. i think its respectable that Kriss has the courage to do that sort of "thing" (i dont even know how to call that alien-looking something...) with his hair. some of the criticism points out that the metal scene isnt always as all-tolerant as often portrayed by everyone.
-
Kris's hair looks like an ailen-thing??? Are there pictures of his new 'do?
-
man you're one lucky B....! *insert appropriate word here*
:P *G*
Great summary ;)

Hello Birdheaded Dude
Really glad tou liked the show. We do our best to pleas all the Germans.
Really dont know what the stain is but if you try, perhaps you can make a little Kriss "Mini me" out from it! Ha ha ha!!
That would be cool. A litlle alien-looking dude who sings really short versions of Falconer songs. :band:
Was great talking to you and I was really impressed that you knew all the lyrics. You surely seem to know them better than me, ha ha.
"Mine hut" was a goof I thought of the day before the gig. I luaughed my head of just from the thougt. And even sang on the plane down to the gig. The personal on the flight started to sing along in the cabin!
Well. enough for tonight.
Hope to see you again.
Stay true to Metal, my friend.
/ Kriss
-
That's probably just because I listen to your albums almost every day, whereas I'm sure you guys tend to get tired of your own music after a while
And as for the "mini-yous" - my friend who was with me that night, he actually cracked that same joke about the shirt several times, like: "Maybe you can clone lots of little mini Göbels out of that!"
But now that you came up with the same idea, maybe I should do it and see a genetic engineerer with that shirt. But I'm gonna need an extra hair sample, I'm sure there is no scientist on earth who can Franken-clone that hairdo!
And if I get the Nobel prize for Applied Metal Genetics, I promise I'll share it with you
See you soon and, well, I'm gonna take care of the kids. I'm sure most of them will climb out of the lab with a triangular hat ^ ^

hum...!
well, if Kriss is okay with it, yeah, why not, it's none of anybody elses bussiness.
me personally... well, I prefered the long hair, they looked great! :)
-
Hey, isn't that some kind of Buddy Holly? Nah, not exactly, I know, but I like the idea that Kriss looks somewhat like one of those Rock'n'Roll singers back then, yeah! :D
-
The headline of my morning paper today was:
MAN CUTS HAIR
Scientists predict apocalypse
Some people need to get out more.
-
The headline of mine was :
metal singer cuts hair and stageacts like a whimp
for you havenīt been there
-
or rather
former favourite metalband sold out
the metalband falconer disappointed by playing "mein hut der hat 3 ecken" instead of songs fansī hearts yearned for
-
no tolerance regarding personal preferences?
no sense of humor?
im sorry, but i thought we were all metalheads here. maybe i was mistaken when i thought that 99 percent of those have awesome personalities. i guess that number has gone down a bit.
Egyptian Regards,
The Guy with the Eaglehead!
oh and FYI - the show was rad!

The headline of mine was :

And how, exactly, does one stageact like a whimp (sic) ?
