Why should they use different databases for every single country?

You asked what happened when someone types in google.com  I merely copied and pasted what happened in answer to your question.  

I think what Sestra was trying to say is they just don't get www.google.com in Russia.  It's something like google.ru  or in the UK they get google.co.uk

Actually they might do just that. Governments do try to censor what Google offers to their countrymen. So searches on Google.com, Google.de and Google.ru might not turn up equal results.

And Google only too willingly agrees to censor their index when asked.
