Love the ads or hate them ,  VW 's image here has gotten a bit stale in recent years.  Now  everybody is  talking about them again.  But will it translate into sales?

I love the "Un-Pimp My Ride" ads, but I hate the "My Fast" adds.  They creep me out.  I have more of a rant than just that about them, but I'll spare you all my OTHER rant about the Fast commercials.

Yeah, most comments I hear are how creepy the "fast"ones are but then I also hear that  people are looking to get  their hands  on a  toy  'fast". I heard rumors that you could buy one on ebay!?!?   Do you remember the "Easy Button" on the Staples store  ads....and then they started selling them in their stores. There are 3 or 4 floating around  the offices where I work.

*lol* I'd say one does not have to like VW cars but their ads are definitely unique and memorable somehow.
Could someone please explain that "fast" thing to me? Is "fast" the "name" of that thing that is talking to the drivers?

Yeah, I think that mechanical alien may be called "fast" - and it reminds me of the Audi commercials some years ago with the elvis puppet, remember? They were a big hit or better hype afterwards as well...

The un-pimp ones really kick ass, haha. :D

These commercials are so great. I love the un-pimp ones!! I especially love the gang hand symbols!!!! "VW" in da house!! The "my fast" alien/creature is supposed to be the physical manifestation of the persons need to go really fast, whether or not they want to keep their girl!!! I am trying to get a hold of one but I think that initially they are only giving them away with the purchase of the GTI Mach 5........ (I love you honey but that's a little out of my price range at the moment....)
