Duct Tape

Well, since I noticed how the Guitar Tech thred almost ended up the "Duct Tape" thread, I thought I'd make a Duct Tape thread!


And I'll start off for one just for RN:  Duct tape being use on a DUCT!  As requested.

Oh where is that picture of this guy at Ropecon 2004 ( I think it was 2004..) He had made his jacket (or all of his clothes, can't remember) out of duct tape!

It is a tape used for wrapping insulation and sealing heating and air conditioning ducts for homes that have forced air  heating/cooling. The tape is either a plastic or cloth permeated with a plastic coating and uses a very sticky adhesive. It is mostly a dull or shiney silver color to match the metal ducts. But everybody uses it to secure abd repair just about everything!!!!

The most used expression for it over here is "Panzertape" (tank tape), probably because you can fix everything with it - even a tank. Or because what you fix with this tape will  need a tank to be injured again? Hm...

Anyway, this stuff is hard and strong and you can do REALLY dangerous things with it:
