I think they will tour Australia as soon as:

a) a greater amount of CDs has been sold there
b) someone invites them over and agrees to pay the bills

Some little idea came to my mind considering a Falconer tour.

Sonata Arctica is doing a headliner tour later this year (September) through Europe.
Why not join with those guys and get co-headliner or supporting act?

Check out the Sonata Arctica Tour Dates here (click)

What do you think, Stefan? Kriss?

Just thinking of that coming true is bliss :D
For the venue here in Vienna Sonata Arctica wants to play (16.9.) is close to where I live. And if Falconer would be there too.... damn great stuff man! :D
I'll be there!

Please no Falconer + Sonata tour, ok?
I've seen Sonata this year and was less than impressed.

I saw Sonata Arctica this year too. Their performance was a bit watered down.

Get on tour with Edguy and Hammerfall :) That way I can see 3 amazing bands in August.

Falconer, Hammerfall and Edguy?
Cool package, but who will be headliner?
Hammerfall and Edguy manage to draw quite a number of persons to their concerts. So Falconer would end up as support band (at least here in Germany.)

Good question. I would imagine Edguy would still headline. They're due to headline the tour as it stands (I think) but the toss between hammerfall and falconer is hard to really say. As long as they get an equal length set, I guess it's fine either way.

This is all theoretical of course  :D

But it would still be an awesome show.

I saw Sonata Arctica live last year as a support act for Nightwish, and I was impressed. I like them playing live.
If Falconer would join up with them for a tour, they'd be playing for a larger audience and I guess better venues.
The combination isn't bad I think.

Okay, but I've got a second idea.
Stratovarius and Hammerfall are doing a co-headliner tour through Europe later this year.
Why not join up with them? Would be great too, hu? (Although I think that Falconers playing time would be way shorter than if they'd join up with Sonata).
And yeah, they stop by in Vienna too (last stop in November).

I would love to see Falconer tour Australia. I have been a fan for a few years now and have all the albums...of course. But I do understand the difficulty in touring here.

the only issue I have is with the quantity of CD's sold. Its hard to sell Falconer CD's when you can't actually get them here. All of my albums are imports and when you may have to wait 6-10 weeks to get them (as I did for Chapters  from a Vale Forlorn) I am not surprised that more CD's haven't been sold here.  Its pot  luck that a niche CD store may actually have a copy of a Falconer CD.

Its definitely no ones fault but is frustrating because most of my metal listening friends haven't even heard of Falconer.I'm doing my best to spread the word and I urge all aussie fans to do the same so we can get these guys over here!!
