What skills, equipment do you have at your disposal? Do you all like pasta, I ahve a very easy pasta dish, it starts with bacon! Let me know. it takes about 20 minutes to do! How many people exactly?

   The goose thing ?
Ok, for the record : when I spent my vacation at the Gargantouas residence last summer I brought some Foie Gras (made of goose-liver) as a little present !

In fact, this is not a bad idea ! Will take that in consideration..
And better not do the chicken, we eat this like every sunday over here...
Any spicy greek stuff to recommend ?

I can see the thread now..recipies at Bleeding for metal... the best in might, metal, and meals!!! :D

Ok Shadow here ya go.

Ingredients:
(I am not sure if the measurements but)  1 lb of bacon, about 454 grams/.45 kg
1 large Vidalia onion
2-4 cloves garlic, depends on taste here, and how close you want to get to the in-laws :P
4 large bell peppers, red and yellow work best because they are sweeter, i have never used green
2-4 small chili peppers, jalepeno, habanera, whatever, they are just for an accent, you do not really taste them
2 cans stewed tomatoes

1-1/2 lbs pasta, (680gr/.68kg ????)  here about 1-1/2 boxes, LINGUINI  works best, it is thicker

Prepare ahead:
Slice onion, I like longer strips, but you could dice i guess
Dice garlic
Cut the bell peppers into strips, I like to julianne them, keep them about the same size
Dice the hot peppers, be careful of the seeds, do not wipe your eyes without washing, the seeds will be HOT!!!!!!!
Dice the bacon, you want about 1-2 cm pieces

Cooking:
Brown the bacon, over medium heat.
Take the bacon out of the pan when done but leave the drippings!!!!! (yum)
Now saute the onion and garlic in the drippings for three minutes
Then add the peppers, bell and hot, saute for three minutes
Add the two cans of stewed tomatoes, cook for (yep you guessed it) 3 minutes covered.
Pour over linguini and serve.

The total time after the bacon is cooked is 9 minutes, plan the pasta accordingly!!!! Enjoy!!!!
PM with any other questions.  This is a special meal that I cook for my wife every Valentines day!!!

   I swear when he prepares the onions and peppers he  must use a ruler, or else takes it down to  his work bench and uses a  table saw because every piece is  EXACTLY the same size, width, length...its amazing.
