Well, it`s already been said: This is torture. I kind of feel like Tantalus - always the freshest water and finest foods in front of his face, but once he tries to take a bite it all fades away. I can`t believe I`ll have to wait until October 6th (don`t ask) until I can listen to this stuff in all its glory. I`m going a little bit insane because of this. :cry:
Anyway - this stuff is pure gold! I can already tell from the teaser that "Nothwind" will definitely be at least my second favorite Falconer album. It is such an overwhelming joy to hear Mathias`wonderful voice on Stefan`s riffs again. The music is classic, old school Falconer, but at the same time sounds more sophisticated. At some points, I think, the groovier style of GvG still shines through, but only as a nuance that serves the overall power of the music very decently.
The melodies are very catchy and clever - "Perjury and Sanctity" is my favorite right now, already a classic, closely followed by "Tower of the Queen".
Thank you Stefan, thank you Mathias, thank you Falconer, for this sneak preview, though it really is a pain in the ass (and heart) that some time is yet to pass until the real deal will be available.
Still, this music is so wonderful, definitely some of the very best you have ever done (I can already tell), it sure is worh every second of waiting, Vorfreude ist die schönste Freude...
