After trying so hard to learn Swedish not needing to use it there because it seemed everyone spoke English and wanted to practise speaking it with their American visitors. haha
Warm people, willing and helpful but never intrusive. Honest and straight forward. Some of my dearest friends.
Green. Farms. Houses neat and tidy with floweres and plants and satelite dishes EVERYWHERE...It seemed like the whole country is connected to the internet! The most beautiful and bountiful Lilacs I've ever seen (my favorite flower). Stances of White Birch and Pines so tall...taller than I have EVER seen them anywhere else. Fish, Produce...vegetables that are natural and out of this worlds tasting,,,the tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers, I can taste them now! And I think the BEST breads I have EVER tasted. The first wild boar I've eaten.
Well maintained roads and awesome mass-transit system. Massive factory buildings that appear out of nowhere while drinving through the countryside. Old world and new beautifully blended. 1000+ year old churches, beautiful functional modern archetectural buildings...I am sure this is true all over Europe, but it is just amazing to me as our oldest standing structures here are only a few hunded years old.
Viking red. Forged iron work and a blacksmith named Martin.
Per capita it seems one of the most prolific rock (that's music not stones) producing countries. I must add to the already mentioned and long list so far a few unmentioned (thanx Metal RN ) or less known bands I love -- Silent Scythe, Assailant, Daytona, Praetorian Platoon, The Kristet Ulseende, Axen Hillock, Sportlov.....I could go on and on....
