Evil hangover
« am: Dezember 30, 2004, 10:34:12 Vormittag »
To the melody of Haselhoff's "I've been looking for freedom":

<sing>
I've been hugging my toilett
Did I hug it for long?

I found myself in the morning
How the hell did this come?
</sing>

Sheeeeesh, worst hangover ever. Completely out of training - should be a good sign, 'cause drinking isn't good by itself. Na, I'd better stop talking now and try to get rid of this blurred, shaking world in my view... Hell, it's half past then on the new day and I feel like I was drinking all that stuff just five minutes ago - well, a little worse even. ;)

Sitting here at work, at a customer, not in our own office... Luckily there's about nothing to do and almost nobody around in my corner here. Eh, did I say I wanted to stop talking? ;)

Nightnight...

Oh, in fact I don't need comfort, thanks. ;)

Getting better minute by minute - and well, it was my decision to drink those awesome
- Mai Thai
- Zombi
- Long Island Ice Tea
- and two more cocktails I can't really name, because I did not order them, hehe.

The only real mistake was to get out there and straight into an English bar finishing with some dark beer...  :?

 :twisted: They have that nice price night every wednesday, that's why I asked some people to join me for a nice evening. You order one cocktail and get it twice! And they serve the cocktails in 0,5 litre glasses...  :twisted:

In fact, I usually don't experience hangovers either, it's really new to me, so to say. ;)

And AoP: Well... no problem. ;)

Hehe. There is a reason why I always stick to one variety of alcohol during an evening. Cocktails are no fun!

I hardly drink so I have never had a hangover, so I can't give any "cures".
Does anyone have any "surefire" cures for hangovers, most are pretty ridiculous like trying to get rid of the hiccups, any takers?

Depends on the person and what suits the person best. I know people who can sleep away their hangovers, others who can prevent it by just eating certain things before falling asleep or drinking 4 liters of water the morning after.

Yep, don't drink ;)

Seriously, I try to keep awake until I'm not so drunk anymore, and drink loads of water before going to bed. Correct me if I'm wrong, but a part of hangover is that the body just cries out for water... Hum, this is a non-english day today, so not even going to try to find the right words... erh..

What a woman... :shock:
About those hangovers, I have had my share being young and restless.
Now being a tiny bit older and even more restless...  :wink:  I know my body all too well and I can tell at excactly what point another drink will make me spent a miserable 'morning after'.
So, very simple : try and find that particular point and you will again have a hangover !
It is all about self control my friends...

And Karl, one day we must definately hang our beer bellies over the same bar you and I !
With INFERNAL VENGEANCE music in the back ground and our drinks being served by the heavenly shaped metal goddesses of this site...

Yihahahahahahaha !! High ho silver !!!

*gets up on her soapbox*  Hangovers...I have never had one.  *bows, steps down off the box.  What?  It's good for being noticed!*

(And yes, I do drink!  Though not lately since I'm at home and it's just not as fun drinking with your parents)
