I really like Within Temptation. Mother Earth is a fantastic album! Unfortunately the video clips are as lame as the songs are kick-ass! But thats a common phenomenon in the metal area if Im not mistaken.
Needless to mention that many people will argue whether or not Within Temptation are to be counted in the metal area  
Yeah, there is some resemblance to Evanescence But so is there to Nightwish. No copycats though, I believe WT were there before Evanescence.
