...and, oh FUCK. Sounds like my amplifier is close to death. Gotta check more detailed, but as soon as I power on the amplifier, the speakers start hissing. Pretty loud first, then only a minor hissing. But now playing music - the right speaker is a lot softer than the left one. No idea if it is the speaker or the amplifier. :(

Cabling perhaps? This is what usual happens with me, this hissing thing has nothing to do with the amplifier but with the wiring....if I understand what you say.
