Logar's Diary (Germany) has very similar song strutures & melodies to Falconer (IMO), yet they still maintain a sound all their own... great, great stuff!!

Skyclad are awesome too, btw... in fact, they were the band for which the term "folk-metal" was coined, waaay back in the early 1990's. They don't have very clean, smooth vocals like Falconer, but they're not black or death metal vocals either... more in the Lemmy Kilminster / James Hetfield vein - but the songs/melodies, lyrics & musicianship are brilliant!!  8)

Once again thanks a lot guys for the tips!
I've checked out:
Firewind - Forged by Fire  :)  :) :)
Galloglass - Heavenseeker  :)   :)  :)
Wuthering Heights - Far from the Madding Crowd  :)   :)   :)
and all 3 of them are great!
(also checked Nocturnal Rites, but I didn't like that one so much...  :(  )
I have been searching now for Shaman, Heimdall and Dream Evil, but I've had no luck!  :?

I'd like to download some of that stuff before going out to buy it on the internet or something, but I used SoulSeek to search for those 3 bands without any luck...
What P2P do you recommend to find this sort of metal bands?
Thanks for your help, friends!

I'd find it odd that anyone could dislike NR. :P But then they have two albums I don't like as much as the others (Afterlife and New World Messiah, which still have some great individual songs).

I listened to the album:
Nocturnal Rites - The Sacred Talisman

It's not that I didn't like it altogether, there are some good parts there, but IMO in general it's not as good as the other 3 great albums I heard to by suggestion of other guys here on the forum:
Firewind - Forged by Fire
Galloglass - Heavenseeker
Wuthering Heights - Far from the Madding Crowd

These 3 albums are just great!

I think The Sacred Talisman's brilliant, but you may like the four albums they have done since then more - different vocalist, better production etc.

And sorry but I'm not going to talk about P2P software on band's forum.

Well yeah, I don't like them. That is, after The Sacred Talisman :D. The first three albums are kickass swedish heavy /power metal with a nwobhm tinge. After that they began to sound too artificial and mediocre for my tastes.

Pffft, Shadowland and GrandIllusion kick arse. The other two are a bit "meh," however. Definitely I prefer the stuff with Zackrisson on vocals.

By the way, have you heard the 2004 version of In A Time of Blood & Fire?

Nope, I only have the original. You're talking about the re-release with Tales of Mystery and Imagination, right? Was that one re-mastered or re-recorded with that other guy on vocals?

I have that one. No, it hasn't been re-recorded, with the exception of 3 bonus tracks - a demo of Lady of Ennui & 2 re-recorded tracks - In a Time of Blood and Fire & Winds of Death, both of which are done in an acoustic style with their current vocalist. I suppose it has been remastered, although I can't hear much of a difference, compared to my original copy.
